The places of life

A main village and 2 hamlets

PARTINELLO Village

The village is of recent construction (18th century), as are the surrounding villages: Osani, Serriera. Indeed, the territory has long been a place of transhumance of the communes of the upper valley of Porto-Spilonca Evisa.

Many old houses have red stone walls that are characteristic of our micro-region.

The village is crossed by the road D 81, an axis that runs along the west coast of Ajaccio to Calvi, known for its quaint side.

The D 324 road that starts in the heart of the village, leads to the beach of Caspian less than 3 km away.

In the village you will find the town hall, the post office, the parish church. A gendarmerie existed not so long ago.

The remarkable public pebble fountain at the entrance of the village since Curzu, is similar to several others built along the D 81 road.

VETRICCIA

Vetriccia which comes from Vetrice, which means willow or wicker in Corsican, is the hamlet of pastoral origin, which is found first when descending to the beach of Caspian. Its houses are the oldest in the village and are lined with a small ridge.

VIGNALE

Vignale means in Corsican "land planted with vines" or simply "vine". The extension of the hamlet is recent, with dwellings built along the D323 road.
